iNet Travels with PNG Hekari FC for OFC Pro League Challengers Round in Auckland

As PNG Hekari FC embarked on another important chapter in the club’s history, iNet Technologies & Communications proudly traveled alongside the team to Auckland, New Zealand, for the Challengers Round of the OFC Pro League.

Through the long-standing partnership between iNet and PNG Hekari FC, iNet was officially contracted to manage the club’s digital media and marketing coverage throughout the tournament, ensuring that supporters back home and abroad remained connected to every moment of the journey.

The trip marked another milestone in the growing relationship between the two organizations. While Hekari FC represented Papua New Guinea on the field, iNet worked tirelessly behind the scenes, capturing and sharing the club’s story through photography, videography, social media content, match coverage, player features, interviews, and promotional material.

From airport departures and team arrivals in Auckland to training sessions, matchday build-ups, behind-the-scenes moments, and fan engagement content, the iNet media team documented every step of Hekari’s campaign.

The assignment demonstrated iNet’s expanding role within Papua New Guinea sport, moving beyond technology solutions into full digital media, branding, and sports marketing services. Having already worked closely with Hekari FC over the years, the partnership continues to grow as both organizations push to elevate PNG football on and off the field.

For iNet, the Challengers Round was more than just media coverage — it was an opportunity to showcase PNG talent, tell the stories of players and management, and provide professional-level digital content worthy of the region’s premier football competition.

As Hekari FC battled against some of Oceania’s best clubs, iNet remained committed to ensuring every moment was captured, promoted, and shared with supporters around the world.

Together, PNG Hekari FC and iNet continue to demonstrate what strong local partnerships can achieve in raising the profile of Papua New Guinea football on the international stage.
